I want to thank Mark and all the players in the school for all the tournament practice that I have received on Poker Pages. This week on Monday, Dec. 10th in Atlantic City's, Taj Mahal I made it to the final table and came in 6th place in a major limit holdem tournament.
Thank you again...next time I'm going for 1st!

"This past week-end was my first trip to a brick and mortar tournament. I've played in one $10 2-table tourney and one 250 person free roll for a world series seat a few years ago. I also play in a weekly home game where we play $10 n/l hold'em tourneys, the competition is often pretty good but due to short rounds the game can be a little reckless.
The powers that be don't allow tournaments in BC so I had to travel to Regina for the Harvest Poker Classic. I missed the first event but it was 7-stud and it's not my best game so it was of no great concern. The second event was Omaha, a relatively new game for me but I seem to have taken to it fairly well. With a $100 buy-in, 1 $100 rebuy and a $100 add-on I finished 13th in a field of 160 for a pay-out of $659.
The next event was N/L hold'em, same buy in, re-buy, and add-on, and I finished 30th out of 171 in a heart breaking loss that I'll offer up for opinions in another thread.
Lastly, the main event, limit hold'em, $200 buy-in, no rebuy necessary this time, and a $100 add-on and I finished in 7th position for a payday of $2389. I also missed the money in the best over-all by less than 10 points (finishing 4th I think). Makes that N/L loss all the more sad because 3rd in the over-all was worth $2200.
Also, there were 3 people left in the $50 last man(woman) standing pool when we got to 20 players, so we chopped it $400 each so we could concentrate on the game.
All that rambling aside I really want to thank PokerSchool Online, the things I've learned in these tournaments have helped my play in a big way and with nowhere to practice locally I'm sure I would never have done so well without the things I've learned here
. Now with the school to help work out the rest of the bumps I can hardly wait for my next opportunity to play."
